21 Reasons Why Olive Oil Should be In Every Home

Olive oil is one of the most widely used oils for cooking, but it’s power goes beyond just making the food taste amazing. Olive oil is a monounsaturated fat and has many health benefits that are proved by lots of scientific research. Great for heart disease, diabetes, even cancer, this type of oil must be included in every diet. This is only if we think only about the eating aspect, but olive oil have lots of uses, not only internally but also externally.
21-Reasons-Why-Olive-Oil-Should-be-In-Every-Home
Use olive oil for:

5. Cradle cap - take a wet cloth with olive oil and exfoliate the babies head with it.
6. Facial scrub – mixed with sugar helps exfoliate the skin.
7. Essential oils carrier – most essential oils need to be mixed with a different one so they can be applied on skin otherwise they can cause irritations.

14. Head lice remover – if the hair is soaked in a lot of olive oil, it kills all head lices and the only thing you need to do more is to comb the hair and rinse it.
15. Ease an earache – olive oil helps with soothing the pain if applied warm.
16. Measuring cup aid – coat your cups when needed and the measurements will be more accurate.
17. Polishing shoes – use it with a microfiber cloth and it will remove all dirt and make your shoes shine.
18. Conditioner for cutting boards – wooden boards need a special care so if you want to keep them on long term, use once in a while some olive oil on them.
19. Alternative for shaving cream – when you are out of shaving cream this helps you avoid cuts.
20. Hairball remedy - for cats that go through hairball, if you add a teaspoon of olive oil in their food, helps them to get rid of it.
21. Remove gum stuck in hair – it happens sometimes, gently add it to the area and let it sit 5 minutes before trying to remove the gum.

Tips Mengurangkan Rambut Gugur dan Kembali Sihat

Salam korang...

Lama dah aku tak sharekan any tips right...

Just nak share dengan korang masalah yang aku alami baru-baru nie.

Like usual lepas bersalin masalah rambut gugur nie agak biasa right.

So aku since dah 4 kali bersalin mulanya malas nak ambik pusing sgt sebab tahap keguguran rambut masih dalam kawalan lagi... meaning takde la sampai botak kepala aku. Cuma rambut semakin menipis sedikit la.

Until 1 day aku pergi gunting rambut di sebuah salon di Tesco Setia Alam. Waaa...amoi tue punyer la bising2 kate rambut aku dah nipis sgt la macam2...

Maka die recommended anti-hair fall set from Loreal. Kononnyer it is the best product. Less chemical and sangat mujarab la...

Aku dengan hati yang berkobar2 melayang Rm150 beli set tue which is selama nie aku pakai syampoo head & shoulder mint tue jerrr...

Since the 1st time pakai rambut aku gugur sangat banyak...sampai segumpal rambut gugur time bersyampoo...

Bayangkan sampai katil, lantai rumah penuh dengan rambut aku merata-rata...up to the stage, within 2 week kepala aku naik botak....

Seriously botak as in sampai nampak kulit kepala!!!!

Seriously mmg tak berapa selesa memandangkan minyak tue agak likat. Tapi aku nekad jer la since orang kate minyak habbatussauda nie banyak khasiatnya.

Alhamdulillah sekali jer pakai rambut aku stop gugur and now anak2 rambut baru telah start tumbuh semula.

Fuhhh...lega siket hati aku. Tapi since aku nie memang pemalas rasenyer 2 kali jer kot aku pakai minyak tue atas kepala nie.

Since rambut dah tak gugur lagi, aku pon malas pakai dah and so far alhamdulillah aku nampak banyak anak2 rambut kembali tumbuh semula.

So to those yang mengalami masalah rambut gugur yang serious rasenyer boleh la try lumurkan minyak habatussauda sebelum tido, then bangun pagi tue syampoo la kepala kalo tak seharian ber grease kepala tue sure tak selesa.

So far alhamdulillah agak mujarab...

Selamat mencuba!!!!

*segala gambar nie aku copy daripada Mr Google Image jer tau..sekadar untuk menunjukkan bagaimana rupa minyak habbatussauda nie.

Keperluan dan Persediaan Untuk Menyusukan Anak Sepenuhnya

Salam semua...

Baru-baru nie 1 of my classmate kat uni ask me to share tips on keperluan dan persediaan untuk menyusukan anak sepenuhnya.

Well aku takde la pakar dalam bidang breastfeeding nie. Tapi melalui pengalaman aku menyusukan ketiga-tiga anak aku sebelum ini sehingga mereka mencapai usia 2 tahun so boleh la aku sharekan serba sedikit tips melalui pengalaman dan hasil pembacaan dan perkongsian bersama-sama other breastfeeding moms.

  2. Restu dan sokongan daripada suami. Bende nie jangan dipandang ringan. Sebab tanpa restu dan sokongan daripada suami kita pasti semangat nak breastfeed anak tue mudah luntur. Tapi kalau dapat full support from husband, sure kite berkobar-kobar nak fully breastfeed anak kite. Lagi pon kitekan nak jadi isteri dan ibu mithali...so perlu la dapatkan restu suami dulu sebelum melakukan ape-ape. If possible sharekan sebanyak mungkin benefit breastfeeding dengan suami kite.
  3. Waktu mengepam susu. Perkara ini amat penting dimana breastfeeding mom perlu mendisiplinkan diri untuk mengepam once in 2 to 3 hours. Wajib!!! The more we pump out the milk, the more milk akan di produce oleh breast kita. So elakkan daripada selalu skip waktu mengepam.
Macam aku dulu, time Hamzah memang tak pump la sebab time tue duduk di Holland jadi full time housewife. Waktu Hadie pula aku dah start bekerja. Since baru nak memulakan hidup di Malaysia time tue aku hanya mampu beli madela harmony manual breast pump. Seriously to those yang nak pakai manual breastpump, highly recommended la madela harmony tue. Sebab die ade 2 phase expression yang membantu untuk merangsang susu keluar dulu sebelum kite start mengepam sepenuhnya. kelemahan manual pump ni plak ianya mengambil masa min 40mint untuk siap pump kedua-dua belah breast dan tangan agak lenguh laaaa....
Time Hannah, kami bermodal siket so tukar kepada spectra dew 350. Cuma breast pump spectra ni memerlukan direct electric power from socket. So few time waktu ken bertugas diluar pejabat, takde power socket di surau, terpakse mengepam di toilet. Tapi, demi untuk Hannah time tu, mommy pump juga...
Finally time Hakim, En Hubby telah bermurah hati menghadiahkan mommy madela freestyle. Memang sangat convenience, ringan dan portable.Walaupun menggunakan battery, tekanan pump tetap kekal sama sehingga battery habis, so tidak mengganggu proses mengepam. Battery can last for 3 hours, so 1 session will take 20 minnutes means sekali charge battery boleh guna untuk max 8 ke 9 session sebelum perlu dicharge semula.
  6. Tempat meyimpan ebm. Since time Hadie aku mengepam hari ini untuk kegunaan esok harinya, so ebm aku simpan terus di dalam botol. Tapi time Hannah, disebabkan stok ebm yg terlalu banyak, aku simpan ebm di dalam botol dan plastic zap seperti didalam gambar dibawah.

  7. Baju untuk breastfeeding. Baju ni takde la wajib ade, tapi baju yang di design khas untuk breastfeeding ni sangat memudahkan kita menyusukan anak especially in public. Tak perlu kite nak selak baju luas-luas.

  8. Poncho. Nie pon another optional item. Aku sendiri tak pernah ade. So far aku cover pakai tudung jer or pahmena. Ikut keselesaan masing-masing.

  9. Warmer -  diperlukan untuk memanaskan ebm. Tapi aku tak pernah ade pon sebab aku prefer direct feeding my kids tak kira dimana dan bila-bila masa. Ebm memang exclusively aku sediakan untuk my kids kat nursery sahaja.

  11. Peti sejuk / deep freezer. Bergantung kepada berapa banyak stok ebm kita. Time Hannah ebm aku terlalu banyak sehinggakan freezer dekat rumah tue 100% digunakan untuk simpan ebm sahaja dan siap tumpang freezer nursery lagi sehinggakan ade ebm yang lama aku terpaksa buang sebab hendak memberi ruang kepada ebm baru. Ade some of breastfeeding mom, chest freezer tue pon penuh dengan ebm... wow!!! murah sungguh rezeki anak die kan. Time Hakim nie aku ade plan gak nak beli freezer memandangkan fridge baru nie freezer agak limited. Tapi plan tu masih kiv bergantung kepada jumlah ebm aku nanti. Tak perlu rushing....

  12. Teknik menguruskan ebm.

Tips Mencuci Kasut Sekolah Anak

Salam,

1st entry for 2014...

Maaf la buat masa nie kesihatan mak buyung agak merudum...

Aper pon rasenyer masih tak terlewat lagi untuk aku ucapkan Happy New Year kepada reader rumahbatamerah.

Orait since harini first day persekolahan anak-anak. aku nak sharekan sedikit tips mencuci kasut sekolah anak yang aku amalkan selama ini.

Tapi tips ini hanya terpakai untuk kasut sekolah canvas la ek... kalo kasut sekolah pvc tak perlu la kot.

Well, mulai tahun nie Hadie pon telah memulakan prasekolah di sekolah Hamzah.

Meaning every week sekarang ni ade 2 pasang kasut yg perlu aku cuci everyweek.

Tapi since aku apply 2 layer kapur kasut kat kasut sekolah Hamzah last year....alhamdulillah sangat mudah aku cuci kasut sekolah die sebab segala kotoran sebenarnya hanya melekat pada kapur kasut jer...

Aku hanye perlu merendam seketika kasut sekolah die bagi kapur kasut tue kembang dan memberusnya sedikit sahaja.

Untuk apply 2 layer tue plak sebenarnya takde la renyah sangat.

Right after cuci terus kapurkan 1 layer...then biarkan untuk beberapa jam.
Setelah kasut hampir kering, kite sapukan lagi 1 layer kapur...

Biasa kalo kapur dah tebal-tebal tue normal la kot kalo dengar anak complaint kasut die keras nak pakai pagi isnin tue.

Tapi bende tu kejap jer...di start jer pakai few minutes the kasut akan ok semula.

So aku rase tue jer kot tips mencuci kasut sekolah yang aku amalkan buat masa ini.

Awal-awal tahun lepas dulu Hamzah pakai kasut sekolah pvc, tapi after everymonth aku terpakse belikan kasut baru sebab kasut pvc die mudah pecah terus aku bertukar ke kasut fully canvas.

So far alhamdulillah ok dan tahan lama....

Okla mak buyung nak siapkan dulu keje-keje kat office nie.

Doakan aku dan baby selamat yer... semoga Allah permudahkan urusan aku nanti...

Leadership...In Essence

A leader is best
When people hardly know he exists
Not so good
When they obey and acclaim him
Worst when they despise him
But of a leader
Who talks little
When his work is done
His aim fulfilled
The people will say
"We did it ourselves!"

Cat Allergies

Salam korang,

Semalam aku tak dapat nak bersiaran since kene jadi penceramah untuk Kursus Pengenalan Kontrak Pengurusan Fasiliti...

Makanya semalam aku ponteng puasa Rejab...uhuhuhuhuhu

Nak bercakap 4 jam kooo....sebenarnyer semangat berpuasa masih goyang lagi tue..so ade jer la alasan...

Kalo kelmarin aku sharekan info keperluan nak bela anak-anak bulus kan....

Aku just copy & paste jer la dari web http://www.webmd.com/allergies/guide/cat-allergies

Cat Allergies

Life with cat allergies -- whether they're yours or a family member's -- can raise a lot of questions. Could a cat allergy explain your son's never-ending cold symptoms? Will you regret giving in to your daughter's demands for a kitten, despite your allergies? Will a so-called hypoallergenic cat allow you to have the pet you've always wanted without making you a sneezing, sniffling mess?
Here are some answers -- what you need to know about cat allergies, from causes to treatments.

What Causes Cat Allergies?

About 10% of the U.S. population has pet allergies and cats are among the most common culprits. Cat allergies are twice as common as dog allergies. But contrary to what you might think, it's not the fur or hair that's the real problem. People with cat allergies are really allergic to proteins in the cat's saliva, urine, and dander (dried flakes of skin).
How do these tiny proteins cause such a big allergic reaction in the body? People with allergies have oversensitive immune systems. Their bodies mistake harmless things -- like cat dander -- for dangerous invaders, and attack them as they would bacteria or viruses. The symptoms of the allergy are the side effects of your body's assault on the allergen, or trigger.
Keep in mind that even if you don't have an actual cat allergy, your cat can still indirectly cause your allergies to flare up. Outside cats can bring in pollen, mold, and other allergens on their fur.
And what about so-called "hypoallergenic" cats? While some breeds -- like the "hairless" sphinx -- are said to be less likely to trigger symptoms of cat allergies than others, any cat has the potential to cause problems. This is true regardless of its breed, hair length, or how much it sheds. So if you know that you or another family member is allergic to cats, getting one -- no matter what the breed -- is not a good idea.

What Are the Symptoms of Cat Allergies?

Symptoms of cat allergies can include:
  • coughing and wheezing
  • hives or a rash on the chest and face
  • red, itchy eyes
  • redness of the skin where a cat has scratched, bitten, or licked you
  • runny, itchy, stuffy nose
  • sneezing
Symptoms of a cat allergy might develop in just a few minutes or take hours to appear. About 20% to 30% of people with allergic asthma have severe flare-ups after coming in contact with a cat.

How Do I Know if I Have a Cat Allergy?

Although the symptoms of a cat allergy may seem fairly obvious, it's not always the cat that causes them. So it's a good idea to get confirmation from your doctor. After all, you wouldn't want to blame Mr. Whiskers unjustly.
Your doctor can do a skin or blood test to see if you're allergic. However, allergy tests aren't always correct. So the doctor may also want you to try living without a cat for a few months to see how it affects your allergy symptoms.

How Are Cat Allergies Treated?

Cat allergies can usually be controlled with standard allergy drugs. Your doctor might recommend:
  • Antihistamines , which are available over-the-counter -- like Claritin, Allegra, Benadryl, or Zyrtec. Some antihistamines come as nasal sprays -- for instance, Astelin.
  • Decongestants , like over-the-counter Sudafed or Allegra-D.
  • Other drugs, which affect allergy or asthma symptoms in various ways. Prescription steroids -- like Flonase or Nasonex sprays -- are a common treatment for allergies.
Allergy shots are another option. Allergy shots are not always effective, and completing treatment can take years. They're also not safe for children under 5. But they can be a huge help to some people. Ask your doctor if they make sense for you.
Unfortunately, there's no way to prevent an allergy. Some studies have shown that exposure to pets as a young child seems to reduce the risk of developing pet allergies later. On the other hand, a child who already has allergic tendencies may get worse with exposure to a pet.

Reducing Exposure to Cats

While medical treatment can help control cat allergies, the best approach is simple: avoid cats and their dander. Here are some tips.
  • Don't touch, hug, or kiss cats. It should be obvious, but some people think a little cat contact is OK. It isn't.
  • Beware of visitors who own cats. Even if your house guests leave their cats at home, they can bring the dander with them on their clothing and luggage. This indirect exposure can cause serious cat allergy symptoms in some people.
  • Plan. If you have to stay in a house with cats, ask that the cat be kept out of the room in which you will sleep for a few weeks before you arrive. Also, start taking allergy medication a few weeks beforehand. Once an allergic reaction gets started, it can be tough to control. But taking medicine can prevent it from happening in the first place.
But what if you already own a cat? Here's the most sensible advice: if you or a family member has cat allergies, you shouldn't have a cat in the home.
Of course, such harsh advice may not be easy to follow. What if your kids have already fallen in love with a kitten? What if your fiancee will never, ever part with her cat? If the cat has to stay, there are other things you can try.
  • Keep your distance. Limit exposure to the cat. Certainly, another family member should take responsibility for the cat's care and do things like cleaning the litter box.
  • Restrict the cat to certain sections of the house. Don't allow your cat to roam free. Keep the cat out of your bedroom at all times.
  • Keep the cat outdoors as much as possible. That's how some people get around their cat allergies.
  • Clean rigorously and often. Cat dander gets everywhere. So you need to sweep and mop the floors, vacuum the rugs, and clean furniture regularly. Make sure to get a vacuum with a HEPA filter, because regular filters may not be fine enough to catch allergens. Get rid of carpets and drapes that can trap dander.
  • Clear the air. A central air cleaner -- as well as filters on the vents themselves -- can help prevent cat dander from circulating through the house.
  • Consider bathing your cat on a regular basis. Experts aren't certain if bathing really helps reduce the amount of allergen. But if it doesn't traumatize the cat too badly, you could try it and see if it reduces symptoms.
While these techniques might help, they may not be enough. As hard as it might be, if keeping your cat is putting your health -- or a family member's health -- at risk, you have to consider giving it up.
Whatever you do, don't assume that you can just wait it out, that cat allergies will naturally get better over time. They might very well get worse. Out-of-control allergies can do more than make life miserable -- they can increase the risk of asthma, which is a serious disease.
So don't ignore the signs of cat allergies. Instead, see a doctor. Together, you can figure out the best way to tackle the problem.

Well, anak-anak bulus nie time baby macam anak manusia gak. Perlu mengambil vaccination bagi menjaga ketahanan badan mereka.

Jenis vaccination dan schedule for the vaccination pulak korang boleh la refer kat schedule bawah nie... aku ambil schedule nie dari http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=1+2143&aid=951

Combination vaccine
Chlamydophila (Pneumonitis): include in combination vaccine where it is a concern.
FeLV: for cats at risk of exposure to feline leukemia virus.
Rabies: Given by your local veterinarian (time interval between vaccinations may vary according to law).
*A combination vaccine includes feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus. Some may also include Chlamydophila.
**According to the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners, cats at low risk of disease exposure may not need to be boostered yearly for most diseases. Consult with your local veterinarian to determine the appropriate vaccination schedule for your cat. Remember, recommendations vary depending on the age, breed, and health status of the cat, the potential of the cat to be exposed to the disease, the type of vaccine, whether the cat is used for breeding, and the geographical area where the cat lives or may visit.

Anak-anak bulus nie perlu dimandikan especially bile time diorg sheds a lot. Lepas tue kalo tuan kucing tue jenis yang allergy, dinasihatkan agar lebih kerap memandikan mereka to keep dander to a minimum.

Ade dua cara untuk memandikan anak-anak bulus nie.

1. Wet bath : yang nie kiranya mandi basah lencun la nie...sebelum dimandikan anak-anak bulus nie perlu di degrease kan dahulu bagi membuang minyak-minyak kat badan dan bulu diorg. Kucing ni pon berpeluh gak dan berminyak. Selepas itu barulah process shampoo dimulakan. Conditioner plak depends on jenis kucing. Kalo long hair condition sangat diperlukan bagi memastikan bulu mereka kekal lembut dan mudah diurus. Tapi kalo shorthair cat, tak perlu pon pakai conditioner tue...

Then waktu regular check-up, jika veterinarian found out that ade ear mites di dalam telinga anak-anak bulus nie, treatment perlu dilakukan segera.

Habis crite pasal vaccination and cleaning, kite cerita plak pasal makanan anak-anak bulus nie.

Kalo habis aku tambah.

Now kite crite pasal cage untuk anak-anak bulu nie plak.

Macam Beemer & Yaya kiteorg tak kurung diorang dalam cage. Biasanya kitorang lepaskan jer dalam bilik kat belakang tue time kitorg pegi keje, time balik keje lepas jer diorg main dalam rumah.

scratch pole

Tree house

Cat toys

Fur stick

Buat masa nie kalo Beemer or Yaya injured mungkin disebabkan oleh luka tergaru ker or masalah fleas, kami gunakan colloider silver untuk treatment.

Last sekali, in order nak angkut anak-anak bulu nie pegi grooming ke vet ker or jalan-jalan kenelah ade cat carrier.
